National Wheel Gymnastics Championships! To
be held in Normal, Illinois September

Building on the very successful 1st National Competition held last year, wheel gymnasts from around the country are invited to compete at this year’s event. The competition will be held in the South Gymnasium in Horton Field House on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. All three disciplines (vault, straight-line, and spiral) of wheel gymnastics will be exercised, and gymnasts may compete in one, two, or three disciplines. There will be no all around competition. Medals will be given to the three best athletes in each discipline. In addition, the best athletes may be chosen to represent the USA at the Wheel Gymnastics World Championships held next May in Aachen, Belgium! Admission for family and friends is $2.00 per person (good for semi-finals, finals, the Circus, and awards ceremony). Merchandise will be available for purchase during the competition. For competition rules and regulations, as well as the code of points, please visit www.rhoenrad.com USA Wheel Gymnastics uses the most current versions of the International Code of Points and International Competition Rules. For updates and other information about wheel gymnastics, please visit www.usawheelgymnastics.com In addition, all athletes should bring their own clothing (leotards or tight gymnastic uniforms), bindings, music (required for all senior straight-line routines), and arrange for use of a gymnastic wheel (contact Evan Brown for more information). Registration is required for each gymnast. Please fill out attached form and return to the address below by September 20th, 2004. There is a $65 registration fee per athlete (for any amount of disciplines) to help cover the cost of competition. Registration fees may be mailed to the address below or be hand delivered to Evan Brown any time prior to competition. Checks may be written out to USA Wheel Gymnastics. Proof of health insurance is required for all competitors. In addition, all competitors must read and sign a waiver of liability provided by USA Wheel Gymnastics prior to any gymnastic activity.
